Editorial

Dear Readers,

First of all, I’d like to thank you all very much for taking part in our reader survey. Your feedback will help us make ONLOAD even more useful. There have been requests for additional reporting on changes to distribution networks and we will address these in this issue. We will show, for example, how regulated distribution transformers can ensure stability in industrial power grids. What’s more, we offer practical and economical solutions for integrating large wind and solar installations into the grid.

Finding the best solutions for customers is also paramount for our colleagues at Reinhausen Power Composites. Since acquiring MacLean Power France, they have been able to manufacture hollow insulators using two different methods: liquid silicone rubber molding and high-temperature vulcanizing. These methods are used to produce shielding products that satisfy even the most stringent quality and safety standards. One example is the use of hollow support insulators at the ITER fusion reactor installation in southern France.

The digital revolution is advancing into energy technologies as well. We are here to give you support and guidance on the way to achieving a digital transformer. From individual sensors to the overarching control system, we offer the right components for all levels of automation. And you can continue to count on our support even after commissioning.

Thanks for reading!

Michael Rohde
