Editorial

Dear Readers,

As a new member of the General Management of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen, I am delighted to present the summer issue of our ONLOAD customer magazine. As always, we have compiled an exciting mix of innovative system solutions and services from the world of the Reinhausen Group.

These include our novel FLEETSCAN 2D approach, which makes diagnosing andassessing your assets as easy as possible. Another unique product is the special de-energized tap-changers which we have produced for the operator of a Canadian hydroelectric power plant. Their technical design and final testing in our Regensburg Test Center, which involved a test voltage of 1,000 kV, was only possible thanks to the close cooperation between the specialists from the transformer manufacturer and our experts. This is a new record and also represents the ultimate high-end option for rotary de-energized tap-changers with head design.

A further superlative is the cable testing system installed in Greece by our subsidiary HIGHVOLT. Giant reactors enable high-voltage cables measuring 55 kilometers in length to be tested in the manufacturer’s plant. What’s more, colleagues in Dresden are already working on the technology which will enable cables of 200 kilometers to be tested in future—both at the factory and following installation.

As you can see, we love to go the extra mile. For you—our customers across the globe.

Thanks for reading!
Wilfried Breuer
