It also had to be afford\u00adable so that it could be used across the board, and instal\u00adla\u00adtion also had to be as sim\u00adple as pos\u00adsi\u00adble. Anoth\u00ader impor\u00adtant point was that it should be main\u00adte\u00adnance-free so that net\u00adwork oper\u00ada\u00adtors would have as lit\u00adtle work as pos\u00adsi\u00adble with it. And I would say that we have suc\u00adceed\u00aded!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MR has already sold 10,000 ECOTAP\u00ae VPD\u00ae. How has the tap-changer evolved since its launch?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECOTAP\u00ae VPD\u00ae, which is now in its third gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion, has enabled VRDTs to become stan\u00addard in dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion net\u00adworks. We have been able to suc\u00adces\u00adsive\u00adly reduce the weight, and the con\u00adtrol unit is ultra com\u00adpact at 10 cen\u00adtime\u00adters wide and 32 cen\u00adtime\u00adters high. We have also been able to reduce the costs and there\u00adfore the price by opti\u00admiz\u00ading the design so that it can be par\u00adtial\u00adly auto\u00admat\u00aded and man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtured in large quan\u00adti\u00adties. The range of appli\u00adca\u00adtions has also been extend\u00aded. The ECOTAP\u00ae VPD\u00ae is now not only suit\u00adable for dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion grids, but can also keep pro\u00adduc\u00adtion sta\u00adble in indus\u00adtri\u00adal plants or help to get more out of renew\u00adable ener\u00adgy sys\u00adtems. Until now, this has only been avail\u00adable as an addi\u00adtion\u00adal mod\u00adule which takes up addi\u00adtion\u00adal instal\u00adla\u00adtion space. While the stan\u00addard con\u00adtrol algo\u00adrithm uses a fixed volt\u00adage set\u00adpoint as the tar\u00adget val\u00adue, dynam\u00adic con\u00adtrol allows the tar\u00adget val\u00adue to be adjust\u00aded up or down depend\u00ading on the dai\u00adly con\u00adsump\u00adtion and gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What potential still exists?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion gives us many oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties to bring more trans\u00adparen\u00adcy to dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion grids. This makes it much eas\u00adi\u00ader, for exam\u00adple, to exam\u00adine the actu\u00adal load pro\u00adfile in an area to deter\u00admine how many addi\u00adtion\u00adal PV sys\u00adtems can actu\u00adal\u00adly be includ\u00aded and how many wall box\u00ades can be per\u00admit\u00adted. The mea\u00adsure\u00adment data from the ECOTAP\u00ae VPD\u00ae con\u00adtroller can be used here to record the actu\u00adal trans\u00adformer load pro\u00adfile: What is my max\u00adi\u00admum feed-in, what is my max\u00adi\u00admum load?
