That is almost ten times Europe\u2019s con\u00adsump\u00adtion. So far, how\u00adev\u00ader, there has been no eco\u00adnom\u00adic solu\u00adtion to exploit this poten\u00adtial. The WEDUSEA project aims to change this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion between 14 part\u00adners from indus\u00adtry and research from five coun\u00adtries, fund\u00aded by the EU and the UK, aims to build the world\u2019s largest float\u00ading wave-ener\u00adgy device to date off the Scot\u00adtish coast by 2026 with an expect\u00aded out\u00adput of one megawatt.
