Just in time for the start of the new mil\u00adlen\u00adni\u00adum, MR pre\u00adsent\u00aded a world pre\u00admiere: the VACUTAP\u00ae VV\u00ae was the first on-load tap-chang\u00ader with vac\u00adu\u00adum tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy for oil-filled trans\u00adform\u00aders. It made it pos\u00adsi\u00adble to oper\u00adate the tap-chang\u00ader almost main\u00adte\u00adnance-free. Although con\u00adven\u00adtion\u00adal tap-chang\u00aders work extreme\u00adly reli\u00adably, they have one unavoid\u00adable prob\u00adlem: dur\u00ading every switch\u00ading oper\u00ada\u00adtion, an arc con\u00adt\u00ada\u00adm\u00adi\u00adnates the insu\u00adlat\u00ading oil.
