Peter Novak, Man\u00adag\u00ading Direc\u00adtor of the Sloven\u00adian trans\u00adformer man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader Kolek\u00adtor ETRA, is con\u00advinced of this: \u201cPow\u00ader gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion has become much more com\u00adplex today due to the increas\u00ading num\u00adber of decen\u00adtral\u00adized gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtors and new con\u00adsumers. In order to mas\u00adter this, it is more impor\u00adtant than ever for ener\u00adgy sup\u00adpli\u00aders to gath\u00ader data from their trans\u00adform\u00aders.\u201d The gas con\u00adtent in the oil, the wind\u00ading tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adture, and data from the con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading of bush\u00adings \u2013 grid oper\u00ada\u00adtors can use all of this infor\u00adma\u00adtion to bet\u00adter uti\u00adlize and mon\u00adi\u00adtor their trans\u00adform\u00aders. The demand for dig\u00adi\u00adtal solu\u00adtions is there\u00adfore also grow\u00ading strong\u00adly at Kolek\u00adtor ETRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teams from MR and Kolek\u00adtor ETRA have joint\u00adly devel\u00adoped three dig\u00adi\u00adti\u00adza\u00adtion pack\u00adages for pow\u00ader trans\u00adform\u00aders.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Dr Simon Ostro\u017enik, who inte\u00adgrates sen\u00adsors and elec\u00adtron\u00adics into the trans\u00adform\u00aders as the Head of Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Office, has also noticed this: \u201cIn recent years, dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion has become an impor\u00adtant aspect of the trans\u00adformer mar\u00adket.\u201d How\u00adev\u00ader, there are many paths to the dig\u00adi\u00adtal trans\u00adformer and count\u00adless sen\u00adsors from var\u00adi\u00adous man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders. Around 240 trans\u00adform\u00aders leave Kolek\u00adtor ETRA\u2019s fac\u00adto\u00adry in Lubl\u00adjana every year \u2013 if every cus\u00adtomer had their own indi\u00advid\u00adual dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion sys\u00adtem, it would be poi\u00adson for effi\u00adcient and fast pro\u00adduc\u00adtion. Deliv\u00adery times for trans\u00adform\u00aders are already long, so more com\u00adplex\u00adi\u00adty in pro\u00adduc\u00adtion not only leads to high\u00ader costs, but also means that cus\u00adtomers have to wait even longer for their deliv\u00adery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although Kolek\u00adtor ETRA was already using var\u00adi\u00adous dig\u00adi\u00adtal solu\u00adtions and had gained a lot of expe\u00adri\u00adence, Novak want\u00aded to rely on stan\u00addard\u00adized dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion solu\u00adtions for his trans\u00adform\u00aders, espe\u00adcial\u00adly since he had found that many cus\u00adtomers also want\u00aded sim\u00adple solu\u00adtions. Kolek\u00adtor ETRA ini\u00adtial\u00adly worked on its own mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading sys\u00adtem. \u201cHow\u00adev\u00ader, we real\u00adized rel\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly quick\u00adly that you need a lot of knowl\u00adedge and a large team to devel\u00adop good mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading, real\u00adly good soft\u00adware and appro\u00adpri\u00adate hard\u00adware that fits the trans\u00adformer. I would say that it is impos\u00adsi\u00adble for a sin\u00adgle man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader to devel\u00adop some\u00adthing like this on their own,\u201d explains Novak. So he turned to MR, with whom the com\u00adpa\u00adny has been work\u00ading for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digitalization without development effort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At MR, Busi\u00adness Devel\u00adop\u00adment Man\u00adag\u00ader Susanne Schle\u00adhu\u00adber and four col\u00adleagues deal with pre\u00adcise\u00adly these kinds of issues: \u201cWe sup\u00adport man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders with our exper\u00adtise in imple\u00adment\u00ading their dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion projects and help with engi\u00adneer\u00ading, design and process imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion.\u201d With the ETOS\u00ae automa\u00adtion solu\u00adtion, MR offers an open, man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader-inde\u00adpen\u00addent tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy for the dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion of pow\u00ader trans\u00adform\u00aders. \u201cOEMs can then offer their cus\u00adtomers their own dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion solu\u00adtion with\u00adout any addi\u00adtion\u00adal devel\u00adop\u00adment effort,\u201d says Schle\u00adhu\u00adber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first step in the col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion was a series of work\u00adshops in which the two part\u00adners worked out answers to the most impor\u00adtant ques\u00adtions: What func\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adi\u00adties do Kolek\u00adtor ETRA\u2019s cus\u00adtomers need? What does this mean for the trans\u00adformer design? And what process\u00ades should apply so that the inte\u00adgra\u00adtion of dig\u00adi\u00adtal com\u00adpo\u00adnents in the company\u2019s work\u00adflow works smooth\u00adly? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the out\u00adset, it was impor\u00adtant to Man\u00adag\u00ading Direc\u00adtor Novak that as many key depart\u00adments in the com\u00adpa\u00adny as pos\u00adsi\u00adble were involved: \u201cAll rel\u00ade\u00advant depart\u00adments in the com\u00adpa\u00adny must have a good under\u00adstand\u00ading of what we offer.\u201d A total of 90 par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants from Sales, Engi\u00adneer\u00ading, Prod\u00aduct Man\u00adage\u00adment and Pur\u00adchas\u00ading there\u00adfore took part in work\u00adshops and train\u00ading ses\u00adsions. \u201cIt was incred\u00adi\u00adbly help\u00adful that MR pre\u00adsent\u00aded the prod\u00aducts to us on site. This gave every\u00adone the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to see the com\u00adpo\u00adnents up close and try them out,\u201d says Ostro\u017enik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Train\u00ading the ser\u00advice tech\u00adni\u00adcians was also a key com\u00adpo\u00adnent. After all, who takes care of things when prob\u00adlems occur dur\u00ading oper\u00ada\u00adtion? For Novak, this was a cru\u00adcial ques\u00adtion: \u201cIf every\u00adthing is in order, every\u00adone is hap\u00adpy. But the dif\u00adfer\u00adence between a good man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader and a bad one lies in how you deal with things that don\u2019t run opti\u00admal\u00adly.\u201d The Kolek\u00adtor ETRA ser\u00advice team received com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive train\u00ading in this regard at MR\u2019s train\u00ading cen\u00adter in Regens\u00adburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result of this inten\u00adsive col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion are three dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion pack\u00adages that Kolek\u00adtor ETRA now offers. Ostro\u017enik explains: \u201cThis way, our cus\u00adtomers get a solu\u00adtion that is tai\u00adlored to their needs \u2013 from sim\u00adple to sophis\u00adti\u00adcat\u00aded.\u201d The Basic pack\u00adage includes a SCADA sys\u00adtem and an online oil analy\u00adsis. The Expert pack\u00adage is sup\u00adple\u00adment\u00aded by auto\u00admat\u00adic volt\u00adage reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion and solu\u00adtions for mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading the trans\u00adformer tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adture. And the Pre\u00admi\u00adum pack\u00adage, includes advanced online DGA oil analy\u00adsis, bush\u00ading mon\u00adi\u00adtor\u00ading and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
