Dr. Bern\u00adhard Jansen, born on 31 August 1899, in Wis\u00adsen an der Sieg, began study\u00ading mechan\u00adi\u00adcal and elec\u00adtri\u00adcal engi\u00adneer\u00ading at the Tech\u00adni\u00adcal Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Han\u00adnover in 1919, and began his career at the Han\u00adnover Pow\u00ader Plant.
