Dr. Manuel Sojer<\/strong>: The indus\u00adtry hasn\u2019t been this excit\u00ading in the last 100 years, and we are in a sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion sim\u00adi\u00adlar to that of 1926. The grids must be expand\u00aded to ensure greater sta\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty, but for the tran\u00adsi\u00adtion to an all-elec\u00adtric soci\u00adety to suc\u00adceed, we need inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive solu\u00adtions, the smart use of data, and close col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion with\u00adin the ecosys\u00adtem \u2013 both in tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy and in process logis\u00adtics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u00fcr\u00adgen Ach:<\/strong> At the same time, the exist\u00ading elec\u00adtri\u00adcal infra\u00adstruc\u00adture is aging. In addi\u00adtion to the nec\u00ades\u00adsary grid expan\u00adsion, the indus\u00adtry is under\u00adgo\u00ading a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive renew\u00adal cycle of its tech\u00adni\u00adcal infra\u00adstruc\u00adture for the first time. Exist\u00ading facil\u00adi\u00adties must be grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly replaced where nec\u00ades\u00adsary or intel\u00adli\u00adgent\u00adly main\u00adtained and kept in use for as long as pos\u00adsi\u00adble. At the same time, the indus\u00adtry is fac\u00ading a pro\u00adfound gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtional shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you intend to support your customers in light of these dynamics?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sojer: <\/strong>Essen\u00adtial\u00adly, there are two key points. First, com\u00adpli\u00adance with grid codes, i.e. grid con\u00adnec\u00adtion require\u00adments. Whether you want to con\u00adnect pow\u00ader gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtors such as PV parks or wind tur\u00adbines, or large con\u00adsumers such as data cen\u00adters or elec\u00adtrolyz\u00aders to the grid, you must always meet the grid con\u00adnec\u00adtion require\u00adments. And these are becom\u00ading increas\u00ading\u00adly com\u00adplex because the grids them\u00adselves are also becom\u00ading more com\u00adplex. We sup\u00adport our cus\u00adtomers in meet\u00ading these require\u00adments, for exam\u00adple, with reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adtion, volt\u00adage sta\u00adbi\u00adliza\u00adtion, and fil\u00adters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Sojer:<\/strong> <\/strong>Absolute\u00adly. Trans\u00adform\u00aders and tap chang\u00aders will con\u00adtin\u00adue to play a cen\u00adtral role in the ener\u00adgy sup\u00adply in the future. They are the best avail\u00adable tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy for solv\u00ading prob\u00adlems of sta\u00adt\u00adic volt\u00adage main\u00adte\u00adnance. As ener\u00adgy sys\u00adtems are trans\u00adformed, prob\u00adlems are con\u00adstant\u00adly increas\u00ading, and at the same time, this cre\u00adates oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties for inno\u00adva\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me give you an exam\u00adple: With the ener\u00adgy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion and decen\u00adtral\u00adized feed-in, new volt\u00adage prob\u00adlems have arisen in dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion net\u00adworks. We are solv\u00ading these today with our tap chang\u00ader for local dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion trans\u00adform\u00aders, the ECOTAP\u00ae <\/sup>VPD\u00ae<\/sup>. And of course, the new VACUTAP\u00ae<\/sup> VI also comes into play here, enabling the cre\u00adation of more sus\u00adtain\u00adable trans\u00adform\u00aders with a small\u00ader foot\u00adprint. In addi\u00adtion, the VACUTAP\u00ae<\/sup> VI is eas\u00adi\u00ader for trans\u00adformer man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders to install. Ach:<\/strong> <\/strong>The great\u00adest pres\u00adsure in asset man\u00adage\u00adment cur\u00adrent\u00adly stems from the ques\u00adtion of how oper\u00ada\u00adtors are deal\u00ading with grow\u00ading uncer\u00adtain\u00adty. Many of our cus\u00adtomers are fac\u00ading con\u00adcrete ques\u00adtions such as: Which assets are crit\u00adi\u00adcal? Where do risks arise? Which facil\u00adi\u00adties can I con\u00adtin\u00adue to oper\u00adate, and where do I need to invest? Espe\u00adcial\u00adly with aging fleets and lim\u00adit\u00aded resources, pri\u00ador\u00adi\u00adti\u00adza\u00adtion becomes a cen\u00adtral chal\u00adlenge. The real pain point here is less the indi\u00advid\u00adual asset and more the lack of an overview of the fleet and its con\u00addi\u00adtion. This is pre\u00adcise\u00adly where a reli\u00adable, trans\u00adpar\u00adent basis for deci\u00adsion mak\u00ading is often miss\u00ading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you help your customers achieve the necessary transparency regarding the condition of their systems?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Data and smart algo\u00adrithms are the key to this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ach:<\/strong><\/strong> In the field of sen\u00adsor tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, we see a high lev\u00adel of tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal matu\u00adri\u00adty. New sen\u00adsors and detailed improve\u00adments are con\u00adstant\u00adly being added, mak\u00ading impor\u00adtant con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtions. Today, how\u00adev\u00ader, the cen\u00adtral poten\u00adtial for inno\u00adva\u00adtion lies less in indi\u00advid\u00adual sen\u00adsor com\u00adpo\u00adnents than in the intel\u00adli\u00adgent inte\u00adgra\u00adtion of func\u00adtions and data across the board. Expe\u00adri\u00adence shows that this phase is the most chal\u00adleng\u00ading, as tech\u00adni\u00adcal, reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adto\u00adry, and oper\u00ada\u00adtional require\u00adments increas\u00ading\u00adly over\u00adlap. In this envi\u00adron\u00adment, we clear\u00adly see Rein\u00adhausen play\u00ading a dual role. We want to car\u00adry this lega\u00adcy for\u00adward into the all alec\u00adtric soci\u00adety by using our prod\u00aducts and solu\u00adtions to pio\u00adneer a sus\u00adtain\u00adable ener\u00adgy sup\u00adply that is char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adized by both high sup\u00adply reli\u00ada\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty and cost-effec\u00adtive\u00adness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A state-cer\u00adti\u00adfied elec\u00adtri\u00adcal engi\u00adneer with a degree in mecha\u00adtron\u00adics, robot\u00adics, and automa\u00adtion engi\u00adneer\u00ading, he began his career in Regens\u00adburg in 1995. Since then, he has held var\u00adi\u00adous posi\u00adtions and has played a key role in advanc\u00ading Reinhausen\u2019s dig\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adiza\u00adtion solu\u00adtions. Today, as Direc\u00adtor of Automa\u00adtion, he heads the Automa\u00adtion Tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy divi\u00adsion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
