The roots of Rein\u00adhausen GmbH date back to 1868. What began as a mechan\u00adi\u00adcal repair shop evolved into a machine fac\u00adto\u00adry and even\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly became a glob\u00adal mar\u00adket leader in tech\u00adni\u00adcal\u00adly sophis\u00adti\u00adcat\u00aded nich\u00ades of elec\u00adtri\u00adcal pow\u00ader engi\u00adneer\u00ading. Today, under the MR brand, the com\u00adpa\u00adny offers inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive prod\u00aducts and solu\u00adtions to ensure pow\u00ader flow, pow\u00ader qual\u00adi\u00adty, and the avail\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of crit\u00adi\u00adcal grid assets for man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders, com\u00admis\u00adsion\u00ading engi\u00adneers, and oper\u00ada\u00adtors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The com\u00adpa\u00adny has been ded\u00adi\u00adcat\u00aded to elec\u00adtri\u00adcal pow\u00ader engi\u00adneer\u00ading since 1929. In doing so, the com\u00adpa\u00adny \u2013 then oper\u00adat\u00ading under the name Maschi\u00adnen\u00adfab\u00adrik Rein\u00adhausen Andreas Scheubeck \u2013 ben\u00ade\u00adfit\u00aded from close col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion with the inven\u00adtor Dr. Bern\u00adhard Jansen. In 1925, he had writ\u00adten his dis\u00adser\u00adta\u00adtion titled \u201cOn the Eco\u00adnom\u00adic Effi\u00adcien\u00adcy of Inter\u00adcon\u00adnec\u00adtion Lines Between Large Pow\u00ader Sup\u00adply Areas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In just over two years, he laid the tech\u00adni\u00adcal foun\u00adda\u00adtions for today\u2019s high-speed resis\u00adtor-type tap-chang\u00ader through four ground\u00adbreak\u00ading patents. The seam\u00adless inter\u00adcon\u00adnec\u00adtion of pow\u00ader grids was a life\u00adlong pas\u00adsion for the engi\u00adneer, who lat\u00ader became CEO of a region\u00adal ener\u00adgy util\u00adi\u00adty. By the time of his untime\u00adly death in 1958, he had obtained a total of 157 inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal patents. At the same time, he orga\u00adnized their imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion by man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders and oper\u00ada\u00adtors of pow\u00ader trans\u00adform\u00aders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an era of inter\u00adcon\u00adnect\u00aded pow\u00ader grids, Dr. Jansen knew how to estab\u00adlish his inven\u00adtions as tech\u00adni\u00adcal stan\u00addards \u2013 despite the reser\u00adva\u00adtions of a con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive indus\u00adtry and com\u00adpet\u00ading con\u00adcepts. The basic prin\u00adci\u00adple described in his patents for the step\u00adwise reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion of trans\u00adform\u00aders under load remains indis\u00adpens\u00adable to this day for the safe and eco\u00adnom\u00adi\u00adcal oper\u00ada\u00adtion of a pow\u00ader sup\u00adply sys\u00adtem orga\u00adnized by volt\u00adage lev\u00adels. In addi\u00adtion, he ensured that trans\u00adformer man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders would be sup\u00adplied by what is now Rein\u00adhausen GmbH. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cur\u00adrent chal\u00adlenges of the ener\u00adgy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion often raise sim\u00adi\u00adlar ques\u00adtions to those posed 100 years ago. Fol\u00adlow\u00ading the glob\u00adal push toward non-fos\u00adsil and more decen\u00adtral\u00adized ener\u00adgy gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion, the focus is shift\u00ading toward stor\u00adage and grid tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies. By 2050, glob\u00adal elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty demand is pro\u00adject\u00aded to grow by 80 per\u00adcent, trans\u00admis\u00adsion and dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion grids are expect\u00aded to expand by 120 per\u00adcent, and annu\u00adal demand for trans\u00adform\u00aders is fore\u00adcast to increase by 200 per\u00adcent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addi\u00adtion to unplanned per\u00adfor\u00admance demands on the installed base (asset man\u00adage\u00adment), there is the accel\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded expan\u00adsion of infra\u00adstruc\u00adture (qual\u00adi\u00adty and logis\u00adtics) as well as the sup\u00adport of entire\u00adly new appli\u00adca\u00adtions (bat\u00adtery ener\u00adgy stor\u00adage, data cen\u00adters). For three decades, Dr. Nico\u00adlas Maier-Scheubeck (born in 1961) has played a key role in shap\u00ading the REINHAUSEN Group.
