How\u00adev\u00ader, with the phase-out of coal and nuclear ener\u00adgy, the sources of reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader \u2013 name\u00adly large pow\u00ader plants \u2013 are grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly dis\u00adap\u00adpear\u00ading, and with them an impor\u00adtant tool for keep\u00ading the grid volt\u00adage sta\u00adble. At the same time, the num\u00adber of solar and wind pow\u00ader plants has sky\u00adrock\u00adet\u00aded in recent years, and their feed-in fluc\u00adtu\u00adates depend\u00ading on weath\u00ader con\u00addi\u00adtions. This espe\u00adcial\u00adly puts mas\u00adsive pres\u00adsure on the 110 kV high-volt\u00adage grids of dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion sys\u00adtem oper\u00ada\u00adtors for whom ensur\u00ading a sta\u00adble volt\u00adage under these con\u00addi\u00adtions is a chal\u00adlenge. That is why many coun\u00adtries now require renew\u00adable ener\u00adgy plants to pro\u00advide suf\u00adfi\u00adcient reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader to main\u00adtain volt\u00adage sta\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The con\u00adtrol room con\u00adtains the con\u00adtrol cab\u00adi\u00adnet for con\u00adtrol\u00adling and pro\u00adtect\u00ading the reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader stages. Rein\u00adhausen Pow\u00ader Qual\u00adi\u00adty devel\u00adoped a stan\u00addard\u00adized solu\u00adtion for reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader pro\u00advi\u00adsion for such plants as ear\u00adly as the begin\u00adning of the 2010s, enabling oper\u00ada\u00adtors to eas\u00adi\u00adly meet the tech\u00adni\u00adcal con\u00adnec\u00adtion require\u00adments: the GRIDCON\u00ae<\/sup> STATION. Thomas Simon, Senior Sales Man\u00adag\u00ader at Rein\u00adhausen Pow\u00ader Qual\u00adi\u00adty, explains: \u201cWe offer our reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader com\u00adpen\u00adsa-<\/p>\n\n\n\n

tion sys\u00adtem in single\u2011, two- or three\u00adstage con\u00adfig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtions, depend\u00ading on require\u00adments.\u201d The pow\u00ader qual\u00adi\u00adty experts at Rein\u00adhausen han\u00addle the com\u00adplete engi\u00adneer\u00ading process, from sys\u00adtem design and pri\u00adma\u00adry tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, through struc\u00adtur\u00adal sta\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtions, to the plan\u00adning of sec\u00adondary tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy with a com\u00adplete cir\u00adcuit dia\u00adgram and the deter\u00admi\u00adna\u00adtion of pro\u00adtec\u00adtion set\u00adtings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reactive power made easy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What makes this unique is that the entire sys\u00adtem \u2013 com\u00adpris\u00ading con\u00adtrol units, capac\u00adi\u00adtor banks, and reac\u00adtors \u2013 is pre\u00adfab\u00adri\u00adcat\u00aded at the fac\u00adto\u00adry by a part\u00adner as a light\u00adweight con\u00adcrete sta\u00adtion. \u201cAfter fac\u00adto\u00adry accep\u00adtance test\u00ading, which we over\u00adsee, a truck deliv\u00aders the ready to-con\u00adnect com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adtion sys\u00adtem direct\u00adly to the instal\u00adla\u00adtion site. There, one of our engi\u00adneers assists with com\u00admis\u00adsion\u00ading,\u201d Simon explains. Rein\u00adhausen ser\u00advice tech\u00adni\u00adcians also assist with main\u00adte\u00adnance and repairs dur\u00ading ongo\u00ading oper\u00ada\u00adtions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GRIDCON\u00ae<\/sup> STATION is avail\u00adable in 1\u2011, 2\u2011, and 3\u2011stage con\u00adfig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtions.<\/a> Each stage can pro\u00advide up to 8 Mvar of over-excit\u00aded reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader at a volt\u00adage of 31.5 kV or 33 kV.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
