Our main task was to make the plant grid fit for this pur\u00adpose.<\/p>\n<h3>What did you need to do this?<\/h3>\n<p>Sev\u00ader\u00adal active fil\u00adters in strate\u00adgic loca\u00adtions. When dis\u00adrup\u00adtive har\u00admon\u00adics occur in the plant grid, our active fil\u00adter feeds in tar\u00adget\u00aded cur\u00adrents of the same fre\u00adquen\u00adcy in phase oppo\u00adsi\u00adtion to neu\u00adtral\u00adize the inter\u00adfer\u00adence. Pro\u00adduc\u00adtion runs smooth\u00adly, machines last longer, and ener\u00adgy con\u00adsump\u00adtion decreas\u00ades. That\u2019s good, but it\u2019s not the excep\u00adtion\u00adal part.<br>\n<\/p>\n<h3>So what is the exceptional part?<\/h3>\n<p>Our new gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of active fil\u00adters can think for them\u00adselves. The active fil\u00adter only needs to be para\u00adme\u00adter\u00adized once. It can then inde\u00adpen\u00addent\u00adly adapt itself if grid con\u00addi\u00adtions lat\u00ader change \u2013 for exam\u00adple, if pro\u00adduc\u00adtion lines are expand\u00aded or trans\u00adform\u00aders are con\u00adnect\u00aded or dis\u00adcon\u00adnect\u00aded. And when it even\u00adtu\u00adal\u00adly reach\u00ades its out\u00adput lim\u00adit, it will con\u00adtin\u00adue to run at max\u00adi\u00admum load and will not switch off due to over\u00adload. In large plants, such as in the auto\u00admo\u00adbile indus\u00adtry, it is com\u00admon to have meshed grids where sev\u00ader\u00adal trans\u00adform\u00aders feed a grid seg\u00adment in par\u00adal\u00adlel. As soon as trans\u00adform\u00aders are switched off dur\u00ading low-load peri\u00adods, or some\u00adthing else changes, the grid imped\u00adance also changes.<\/p>\n<p>An active fil\u00adter can then unin\u00adten\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly trig\u00adger a res\u00ado\u00adnance point in the grid. Our con\u00adtrol soft\u00adware detects sit\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtions like this with\u00adin sec\u00adonds, and the active fil\u00adter then con\u00adtin\u00adues to run nor\u00admal\u00adly with adapt\u00aded con\u00adtrol para\u00adme\u00adters. With the Lim\u00adit U func\u00adtion, the cus\u00adtomer can set the active fil\u00adter to damp\u00aden a per\u00adcent\u00adage of the har\u00admon\u00adics rather than damp\u00ading them 100 percent\u2014which saves ener\u00adgy.<\/p>\n<h3>Did Volkswagen require any adjustments?<\/h3>\n<p>Volk\u00adswa\u00adgen has found that the switch\u00ading sys\u00adtems in some plant sec\u00adtions are eas\u00adi\u00adly con\u00adt\u00ada\u00adm\u00adi\u00adnat\u00aded with met\u00adal dust, which increas\u00ades the main\u00adte\u00adnance require\u00adments. There\u00adfore, the com\u00adpa\u00adny request\u00aded her\u00admet\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly enclosed hous\u00adings for some of the active fil\u00adters. That was not a prob\u00adlem, but it did mean that air cool\u00ading was no longer an option. We there\u00adfore decid\u00aded to go with a water cool\u00ading sys\u00adtem. For this pur\u00adpose, we sim\u00adply used the exist\u00ading cool\u00ading water cir\u00adcuit of the laser weld\u00ading sys\u00adtem.
