Why did you develop the new SBC series?<\/h3>\n

Bush\u00adings are crit\u00adi\u00adcal trans\u00adformer com\u00adpo\u00adnents. Tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly, they are made of porce\u00adlain and are there\u00adfore frag\u00adile and can eas\u00adi\u00adly break under mechan\u00adi\u00adcal or elec\u00adtri\u00adcal shocks. This leads to risk from porce\u00adlain pro\u00adjec\u00adtiles as well as oil leak\u00adage and con\u00adse\u00adquent\u00adly the poten\u00adtial haz\u00adard of a trans\u00adformer fire. To pre\u00advent these con\u00adse\u00adquences, Cedaspe has devel\u00adoped the sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00adings. Sil\u00adi\u00adcone rub\u00adber does not break, the refore sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00adings are safer than porce\u00adlain.<\/p>\n\n

How are these silicone bushings constructed?<\/h3>\n

The insu\u00adla\u00adtion body is made of a fiber\u00adglass tube with an inte\u00adgrat\u00aded alu\u00adminum clamp. Cedaspe molds the sil\u00adi\u00adcone shield\u00ading form using LSR technology\u2014an injec\u00adtion mold\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. Cedaspe can also real\u00adize cus\u00adtomiza\u00adtions like longer stems for CT assem\u00adbly and \/ or nitro\u00adgen cush\u00adions on the oil side. All com\u00adpo\u00adnents are man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtured at Cedaspe\u2019s plant in Milan.<\/p>\n

What are the benefits of this new product series?<\/h3>\n

In addi\u00adtion to imp roved safe\u00adty the sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00adings do not require reg\u00adu\u00adlar main\u00adte\u00adnance like the con\u00adven\u00adtion\u00adal porce\u00adlain insu\u00adla\u00adtors. Hy-dropho\u00adbic prop\u00ader\u00adties of the sil\u00adi\u00adcone rub\u00adber con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00adably reduce the need to clean the trans\u00adformer bush\u00adings. This is obvi\u00adous\u00adly a big advan\u00adtage, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly in indus\u00adtri\u00adal appli\u00adca\u00adtions where trans\u00adform\u00aders are per\u00adma\u00adnent\u00adly exposed to pol\u00adlu\u00adtion dusts, since porce\u00adlain bush\u00adings often need wash\u00ading under such con\u00addi\u00adtions.<\/p>\n

Can silicone bushings also be retrofitted?<\/h3>\n

Yes, of course. Sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00ading are ful\u00adly inter\u00adchange\u00adable with EN and DIN stan\u00addards and per\u00adfect\u00adly suit any retro\u00adfitting. No adjust\u00adments and no work to the trans\u00adformer are need\u00aded. Sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00adings are also sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly lighter, and there\u00adfore eas\u00adi\u00ader to install.<\/p>\n

For which applications are the silicone bushings designed?<\/h3>\n

The sil\u00adi\u00adcone bush\u00adings are suit\u00adable for small and medi\u00adum-pow\u00ader trans\u00adform\u00aders with rat\u00aded volt\u00adages of 12 kV, 24 kV, 36 kV and 52 KV and rat\u00aded cur\u00adrents of 630 A, 1250 A, 2000 A, 3150 A and 4500 A.
