A<\/span> sup\u00adpli\u00ader of \u201cgreen elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty\u201d planned to equip its bat\u00adtery park with 30 addi\u00adtion\u00adal bat\u00adtery stor\u00adage units in 2020 and was look\u00ading for a man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader for this job that could offer a sys\u00adtem already proven on the mar\u00adket. It was intend\u00aded to be used across Europe at fes\u00adti\u00advals, large events or mar\u00adkets. <\/p>\n

The order went to Alfen, a Dutch com\u00adpa\u00adny that offers a wide range of prod\u00aducts and ser\u00advices con\u00adcern\u00ading intel\u00adli\u00adgent pow\u00ader grids, includ\u00ading sub\u00adsta\u00adtions, ener\u00adgy accu\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtor sys\u00adtems and charg\u00ading sta\u00adtions for elec\u00adtric cars. Busi\u00adness Unit Direc\u00adtor Andreas Plenk, respon\u00adsi\u00adble for stor\u00adage sys\u00adtems at Alfen, says, \u201cWe were very proud that this order was giv\u00aden to us and that we could make a fur\u00adther con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion to envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal pro\u00adtec\u00adtion in this way.\u201d <\/p>\n

Custom transformer and sinusoidal filter<\/h3>\n

The customer\u2019s wish list was as fol\u00adlows: Each of the mobile stor\u00adage sys\u00adtems should guar\u00adan\u00adtee a capac\u00adi\u00adty of 338 kWh based on a BMW i3 bat\u00adtery. In addi\u00adtion, stan\u00addard pow\u00ader con\u00adnec\u00adtions should enable a sim\u00adple plug-and-play inte\u00adgra\u00adtion at tem\u00adpo\u00adrary project sites and and remote loca\u00adtions. And, with a charg\u00ading pow\u00ader of 400 amps, it must be able to to run for one hour at dou\u00adble pow\u00ader of 800 amps.

For this pur\u00adpose, Alfen need\u00aded to start by equip\u00adping its own sys\u00adtem, \u201cThe Bat\u00adtery\u201d, with a trans\u00adformer in order to achieve gal\u00advan\u00adic iso\u00adla\u00adtion between the input, the ener\u00adgy-accu\u00admu\u00adla\u00adtor invert\u00ader and the out\u00adput. Plenk adds, \u201cWe need\u00aded a sup\u00adpli\u00ader to deliv\u00ader a cus\u00adtom sys\u00adtem con\u00adsist\u00ading of spe\u00adcial trans\u00adform\u00aders and sinu\u00adsoidal fil\u00adters accord\u00ading to these spec\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions on a defined lay\u00adout.\u201d The Dutch found their match with the Rein\u00adhausen sub\u00adsidiary Hans von Man\u00adgoldt in Aachen.<\/p>\n

Future system modules<\/h3>\n

\u201cWhile price is always the decid\u00ading fac\u00adtor in the deliv\u00adery of tech\u00adni\u00adcal\u00adly defined com\u00adpo\u00adnents, we also look very close\u00adly at the deliv\u00adered qual\u00adi\u00adty, which for us par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly includes the supplier\u2019s process qual\u00adi\u00adty. We must work togeth\u00ader if we want to win over cus\u00adtomers in the long term.\u201d <\/p>\n

Plenk believes that the future will involve deliv\u00ader\u00ading fin\u00adished sys\u00adtem mod\u00adules. \u201cThat is the next step we will take with sup\u00adpli\u00aders, assum\u00ading quan\u00adti\u00adties con\u00adtin\u00adue to increase going for\u00adward.\u201d Plenk con\u00adsid\u00aders Man\u00adgoldt to be very well posi\u00adtioned for this.<\/p>\n
