Why did Power Composites decide to open a new site in India?<\/h3>\n

India is one of the coun\u00adtries with the strongest eco\u00adnom\u00adic growth. But so far there is no local man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader for hol\u00adlow com\u00adpos\u00adite insu\u00adla\u00adtors despite the high demand that the Indi\u00adan mar\u00adket has for these com\u00adpo\u00adnents. Togeth\u00ader with our local part\u00adner Aditya Bir\u00adla, we aim to sat\u00adis\u00adfy this demand in the future. Our new Aditya Bir\u00adla Pow\u00ader Com\u00adpos\u00adites Ltd. plant in the city of Halol, Gujarat, rep\u00adre\u00adsents our first major step toward growth in that direc\u00adtion.<\/p>\n

What led you to form a joint venture?<\/h3>\n

It isn\u2019t easy for Euro\u00adpean com\u00adpa\u00adnies to gain access to the impor\u00adtant Indi\u00adan mar\u00adket because the cus\u00adtomers there pre\u00adfer local prod\u00aducts. So it was clear to us from the begin\u00adning that we could only gain mar\u00adket entry by work\u00ading with a strong, local part\u00adner.

And that\u2019s Aditya Birla?<\/h3>\n

Yes! With turnover of around EUR 50 bil\u00adlion, Aditya Bir\u00adla is one of the largest groups on the Indi\u00adan mar\u00adket and is the country\u2019s lead\u00ading man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ader of porce\u00adlain insu\u00adla\u00adtors. The busi\u00adness is high\u00adly diver\u00adsi\u00adfied and boasts exten\u00adsive tech\u00adni\u00adcal exper\u00adtise, plus wide cus\u00adtomer reach. Fur\u00adther\u00admore, Aditya Bir\u00adla has very high qual\u00adi\u00adty stan\u00addards and is held in high esteem both in Indi\u00adan soci\u00adety and on inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal mar\u00adkets.<\/p>\n

We want to carve out an even stronger posi\u00adtion for our\u00adselves in large-scale bulk busi\u00adness in com\u00adpar\u00adi\u00adson to our major Chi\u00adnese com\u00adpeti\u00adtors and offer cus\u00adtomers in this seg\u00adment high-qual\u00adi\u00adty prod\u00aducts at com\u00adpet\u00adi\u00adtive prices. This is a cru\u00adcial fac\u00adtor, par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly on the Indi\u00adan mar\u00adket, giv\u00aden the sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant increase in ener\u00adgy demand it is show\u00ading.<\/p>\n

And on the global market?<\/h3>\n

Our aim here is to be the top play\u00ader in the glob\u00adal mar\u00adket for hol\u00adlow com\u00adpos\u00adite insu\u00adla\u00adtors and con\u00adtin\u00adue to serve as a reli\u00adable devel\u00adop\u00adment part\u00adner for our cus\u00adtomers when it comes to tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy and qual\u00adi\u00adty, even more so than we have been in the past. We now have anoth\u00ader unique sell\u00ading point on the mar\u00adket: In India, we are pro\u00adduc\u00ading our hol\u00adlow com\u00adpos\u00adite insu\u00adla\u00adtors with HTV injec\u00adtion tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy for the first time. This means that we com\u00adbine all three shield\u00ading tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies under one roof at Pow\u00ader Com\u00adpos\u00adites, along with LSR injec\u00adtion and HTV extru\u00adsion. Nobody else can claim to do that. We can now cater to all require\u00adments in all glob\u00adal mar\u00adkets. As a full-ser\u00advice sup\u00adpli\u00ader, this makes us high\u00adly inter\u00adest\u00ading to both nation\u00adal as well as inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal cus\u00adtomers.<\/p>\n

Perfect shielding<\/h3>\n

Reinhausen Power Composites uses these three methods for shielding hollow insulators.<\/h3>\n

The high-temperature-vulcanizing (HTV) extrusion process<\/h4>\n

This process is used at the Cus\u00adset site in France. An extrud\u00ader applies sil\u00adi\u00adcone to the GFRP tube. This process is par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly suit\u00adable for com\u00adpli\u00adcat\u00aded shield\u00ading pro\u00adfiles; for exam\u00adple, those for high-volt\u00adage direct cur\u00adrent trans\u00admis\u00adsion appli\u00adca\u00adtions.<\/p>\n

The Liquid silcone rubber (LSR) shielding technology<\/h4>\n

The LSR-Injec\u00adtions mold\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy is used in Regens\u00adburg. This process involves press\u00ading liq\u00aduid sil\u00adi\u00adcone into molds at high pres\u00adsure. LSR tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy is par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar\u00adly suit\u00adable for pro\u00adduc\u00ading high\u00adly stan\u00addard\u00adized insu\u00adla\u00adtors in large quan\u00adti\u00adties<\/p>\n

This tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy is used at the new site in Halol in India with the tried-and-test\u00aded Pow\u00ader Com\u00adpos\u00adites design and qual\u00adi\u00adty process\u00ades. The man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00ading prin\u00adci\u00adple is sim\u00adi\u00adlar to the process for LSR shield\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. How\u00adev\u00ader, rather than liq\u00aduid sil\u00adi\u00adcone, high\u00ader-strength HTV sil\u00adi\u00adcone is pressed into molds under high pres\u00adsure.
