What exactly is \u201cCodigo de Red\u201d, and what demands does it place on companies?<\/h3>\n

Although we are on a good path in our coun\u00adtry, there con\u00adtin\u00adue to be major prob\u00adlems in terms of infra\u00adstruc\u00adture, such as pow\u00ader out\u00adages due to poor pow\u00ader qual\u00adi\u00adty caused by grid feed\u00adback from large con\u00adsumers. There\u00adfore, in 2014, under then-Pres\u00adi\u00addent Pe\u00f1a Nieto, the Elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty Indus\u00adtry Law was reformed. The new law is intend\u00aded to com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive\u00adly reform the ener\u00adgy mar\u00adket. For the first time, the gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion, trans\u00admis\u00adsion, and dis\u00adtri\u00adb\u00adu\u00adtion of elec\u00adtri\u00adcal ener\u00adgy were sep\u00ada\u00adrat\u00aded by reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion. The grid code pub\u00adlished in 2016, the \u201cCodi\u00adgo de Red\u201d, was to ensure more sta\u00adble grids while at the same time expand\u00ading renew\u00adable ener\u00adgies, among oth\u00ader things. For this pur\u00adpose, require\u00adments for what are known as load cen\u00adters have also been drawn up. What has happened since the introduction?<\/h3>\n

The Codi\u00adgo has been manda\u00adto\u00adry since 2019 and, in my opin\u00adion, it was a shark with\u00adout teeth before that. Now it has some. Last year, the net\u00adwork code was revised, and now fines and sanc\u00adtions are imposed for non-com\u00adpli\u00adance, at least in cer\u00adtain cas\u00ades. I think this is right and impor\u00adtant, because it has led to a much greater will\u00ading\u00adness on the part of con\u00adsumers and pro\u00adduc\u00aders to mod\u00adern\u00adize their oper\u00ada\u00adtions. This will notice\u00adably improve the grids. Bind\u00ading reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions are also cru\u00adcial in terms of renew\u00adable ener\u00adgies and the volatil\u00adi\u00adties asso\u00adci\u00adat\u00aded with them.<\/p>\n

How are the new regulations being received by the Mexican business community?<\/h3>\n

Large con\u00adsumers, for exam\u00adple, must avoid strong grid feed\u00adback. This involves, for exam\u00adple, har\u00admon\u00adics, reac\u00adtive pow\u00ader, flick\u00ader, or unbal\u00adanced loads. Many com\u00adpa\u00adnies wel\u00adcome these new reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions and want to upgrade on their own ini\u00adtia\u00adtive \u2014 after all, they them\u00adselves ben\u00ade\u00adfit from a secure grid.<\/p>\n

What do these developments mean
\nfor you and your company?<\/h3>\n

Our com\u00adpa\u00adny start\u00aded almost 20 years ago as a small office that main\u00adly per\u00adformed main\u00adte\u00adnance of elec\u00adtri\u00adcal instal\u00adla\u00adtions. Today, we have about 50 employ\u00adees and also han\u00addle the plan\u00adning for instal\u00adla\u00adtions and retro\u00adfits as well as the sale of com\u00adpo\u00adnents such as com\u00adpen\u00adsa\u00adtion sys\u00adtems and active fil\u00adters from Rein\u00adhausen. In doing so, we look at what our cus\u00adtomers need so that they do not bur\u00adden the grids. To find the right com\u00adpo\u00adnents for this, we work with a large num\u00adber of lead\u00ading inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders. To inform com\u00adpa\u00adnies about the applic\u00ada\u00adble require\u00adments and the top\u00adic of pow\u00ader qual\u00adi\u00adty in gen\u00ader\u00adal, we also offer train\u00ading cours\u00ades and webi\u00adna\u00adrs, com\u00admis\u00adsion stud\u00adies, and pro\u00advide infor\u00adma\u00adtion at trade fairs, since many are not even aware of the exten\u00adsive guide\u00adlines or even the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties. Reinhausen\u2019s Pow\u00ader Qual\u00adi\u00adty prod\u00aducts allow us to offer our cus\u00adtomers reli\u00adable and durable solu\u00adtions.<\/p>\n

And what kind of projects are you implementing with

Let me give you an exam\u00adple: At the end of 2021, we were con\u00adtact\u00aded by the met\u00adal\u00adwork\u00ading com\u00adpa\u00adny Sign\u00adode for whom we have been main\u00adtain\u00ading switch\u00ading sta\u00adtions for over ten years. The com\u00adpa\u00adny pro\u00adduces steel strip as sheet mate\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal. In the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion process, there is also a smelter that was caus\u00ading notable pow\u00ader asym\u00adme\u00adtries, putting a strain on the down\u00adstream grid. Togeth\u00ader with PQ, we were able to sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly improve these effects by using active fil\u00adters, which we com\u00adbined with oth\u00ader com\u00adpo\u00adnents and a trans\u00adformer made in Mex\u00adi\u00adco.<\/p>\n
