This plays a major role in safe, reli\u00adable sys\u00adtem oper\u00ada\u00adtion. It may well take two to five runs before an order is placed.<\/p>\n

How long does it take from a PST order to commissioning?<\/h3>\n

One to two years. How\u00adev\u00ader, MR is involved even before that, dur\u00ading the prepa\u00adra\u00adtion of the offer. Since sev\u00ader\u00adal trans\u00adformer man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders usu\u00adal\u00adly bid on a sin\u00adgle project, we some\u00adtimes have to car\u00adry out four to five designs at the same time. This is very time-con\u00adsum\u00ading and requires a lot of clar\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion.<\/p>\n

Will the investment in a phase shifter pay for itself?<\/h3>\n

Yes, usu\u00adal\u00adly after six months to a year. PSTs reg\u00adu\u00adlate the increased feed-in of green pow\u00ader, which affects load flows in the grid. In this way, they replace expen\u00adsive redis\u00adpatch mea\u00adsures. Phase shifters are also used in Euro\u00adpean pow\u00ader trad\u00ading when ener\u00adgy is pur\u00adchased when prices are low and sold when prices are high. The pay\u00adback peri\u00adod here is very short.<\/p>\n

Many interpretations, much experience\u2005\u2014\u2005do you remember any personal highlights?<\/h3>\n

There are always those. For exam\u00adple, a cus\u00adtomer recent\u00adly called me from the air\u00adport on Fri\u00adday after\u00adnoon and asked for tech\u00adni\u00adcal sup\u00adport. It had to be done quick\u00adly so I pre\u00adpared the pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion with my cal\u00adcu\u00adla\u00adtion results by Sat\u00adur\u00adday noon. The cus\u00adtomer was very pleased with the uncom\u00adpli\u00adcat\u00aded and fast sup\u00adport and in the end he won the order. Of course, some\u00adthing like that stays in one\u2019s mem\u00ado\u00adry.<\/p>\n
