About 80 kilo\u00adme\u00adters off the North Sea coast of Thors\u00adminde, an arti\u00adfi\u00adcial island is to be built that will bun\u00addle elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty from sur\u00adround\u00ading off\u00adshore wind farms and then sup\u00adply it to Den\u00admark, as well as Bel\u00adgium, the Nether\u00adlands and Ger\u00admany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is being financed by the Dan\u00adish gov\u00adern\u00adment and the Dutch ener\u00adgy com\u00adpa\u00adny Ten\u00adneT. Rein\u00adhausen Man\u00adag\u00ading Direc\u00adtor Wil\u00adfried Breuer and Tor\u00adben Glar, CEO of the Dan\u00adish ener\u00adgy com\u00adpa\u00adny Energinet, had the ini\u00adtial idea for this mam\u00admoth project, which will set a strong exam\u00adple for the ener\u00adgy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion in Europe.
