Editorial

Dear Readers,

in this issue you will learn that MR is more than on-load tap-changers, and the Reinhausen Group is more than transformers.

The journey begins in Chile, a country which, due to its geography, will achieve a lot of energy from sustainable generation through large solar parks and wind farms. Chile can thus supply energy in the form of “green” molecules such as hydrogen, ammonia or methanol in the future through electrolysis projects. In Chile we are supporting our customer RHONA.

As a machine factory, we are leaders in digitalization. A contradiction? Not at all. With our ETOS® operating system, we make transformer manufacturers successful. In the process, AI analyzes collected data for reliable, sustainable grid operation.

It is worth noting that our service business unit is converting an entire substation in Phoenix, Arizona, in the Salt River project, thus demonstrating Reinhausen’s comprehensive expertise and diversity far beyond the transformer.

The sustainable power supply of tomorrow also needs mobile solutions, for example with the help of reactors from Reinhausen subsidiary Hans von Mangoldt. At the same time, sophisticated testing equipment from HIGHVOLT ensures safe high-voltage lines.

I hope you enjoy reading this issue and invite you to stay in touch with us
