New Member of the Management Team

Hol­ger Michal­ka joined the MR man­age­ment team in April, succeed­ing Michael Rohde who retired at the end of 2019. Before com­ing to MR, Michal­ka spent 15 years work­ing at RITTAL—a lead­ing sys­tems sup­pli­er for con­trol cabinets—in var­i­ous man­age­ment posi­tions both in Ger­many and abroad. Most recent­ly, Michal­ka, who stud­ied busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion at uni­ver­si­ty, was respon­si­ble for Euro­pean sales in his role as Exec­u­tive Vice Pres­i­dent Sales Europe. He is now MR’s Man­ag­ing Direc­tor for Prod­ucts & Oper­a­tions, join­ing exist­ing Man­ag­ing Direc­tors Wil­fried Breuer (Sys­tems Busi­ness and Sales) and Dr. Nico­las Maier-Scheubeck (Diver­si­fi­ca­tion and Admin­is­tra­tion).

Groundbreaking Ceremony in India

The Indi­an joint ven­ture Aditya Bir­la Pow­er Com­pos­ites Ltd., which was found­ed last year, has reached anoth­er mile­stone: the ground­break­ing cer­e­mo­ny for the new fac­to­ry build­ing in the city of Halol in north­west­ern India. In the future, the fac­to­ry will pro­duce hol­low com­pos­ite insu­la­tors for appli­ca­tions in pri­ma­ry sub­sta­tions with up to 400 kV using a spe­cial HTV injec­tion mold­ing process. This will make MR the only provider in the world with access to all of the tech­nolo­gies for pro­duc­ing hol­low com­pos­ite insu­la­tors, enabling the com­pa­ny to meet require­ments in all mar­ket seg­ments.
