Investment offensive for the energy transition

Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen is massively expanding its production capacities due to the increasing demand for transformers and energy technology. Managing Director Wilfried Breuer emphasizes that the company is investing equally in personnel, tools, production areas and infrastructure in order to continue to optimally meet customer requirements in the future. The main focuses here are on Regensburg, the USA, China, Italy and Oberursel near Frankfurt.

Production capacity in Regensburg will be increased by 25 percent by 2025 and doubled in the long term with three additional halls with an investment volume of 20 million euros going into operation by 2025. In Suzhou near Shanghai, additional capacity for VACUTAP® tap-changer variants will be created from July 2024 in order to shorten delivery times in China. The plant in Humboldt (Tennessee) is expanding its capacity by 45 percent and plans to increase it by a further 25 percent by 2025.

Production capacities at the sites in Oberursel, Milan and Trissino will also be expanded in 2024 in order to meet the sharp rise in demand for transformer accessories and instrumentation.
