Since April 1996, I have had the privilege of helping shape the development of Reinhausen GmbH as a member of the Executive Board (and as its spokesperson since 2010). In the world of business, 30 years is a long time. However, it is consistent with the high expectations for the longevity of our solutions and the consistent implementation of our strategies. Your expectations of the premium MR brand shape the behavior of each of our employees, and conversely, the continuity of our leadership reinforces your perception of the brand.
In this context, anniversaries serve as milestones on the journey from yesterday to tomorrow. I am therefore delighted to also be able to actively participate in the centennial celebration of the granting of Patent No. 474613 to Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Jansen. After all, this “device for switching between two taps of a step-down transformer during operation using two counter-rotating circuit breakers with pre-contacts” paved the way for Reinhausen GmbH’s rise to become the global market leader in transformer control. At the same time, it marks the starting point for our unwavering passion for challenging applications and genuine innovations in electrical power engineering.
“We were, are, and will remain Reinhausen – a bastion of progress and reliability in the spirit of risk-conscious continuity amid change.”
Dr. Nicolas Maier-Scheubeck
In this spirit, we have been continuously evolving our service offerings for many years – from products to solutions – while striving to bring our portfolio and value creation ever closer to you.
With great respect for what has been achieved in the past, we are therefore using this issue of ONLOAD to set our sights on the next 100 years. At the intersection of mechatronics and power electronics, sensor technology and communications, as well as analytics and digitalization, MR continuously develops superior solutions for new and existing applications.
“We’ve been the market leader in tap changers for 100 years – and we intend to stay that way. Going the extra mile isn’t the exception for us – it’s the standard.”
Wilfried Breuer
Manufacturers, commissioning engineers, and operators of critical grid infrastructure can therefore continue to expect great things from us. This holds true even – and especially – after my retirement from the Executive Board at the end of July 2026. The baton is in the very best of hands with my colleagues.
We were, are, and will remain Reinhausen – a bastion of progress and reliability, embodying risk-conscious continuity amid change.
