Dear Readers,

Anoth­er year is almost over. After a suc­cess­ful 2023, I hope that you, like us, will have a few qui­eter days at the turn of the year to read the many arti­cles in this issue.

Even if, from a glob­al per­spec­tive, the ener­gy tran­si­tion needs to be mov­ing even faster, we are already see­ing a sig­nif­i­cant increase in momen­tum in the elec­tri­fi­ca­tion of many process­es. In this ONLOAD issue, fol­low us on a jour­ney to far­away Aus­tralia, where HIGHVOLT from the Rein­hausen Group sup­ports grid oper­a­tors with mobile test­ing; to Chi­na where we are coop­er­at­ing with a trans­former man­u­fac­tur­er on dig­i­tal­iza­tion; to the USA where we are now also offer­ing our suc­cess­ful prod­ucts and solu­tions for volt­age reg­u­la­tion in the dis­tri­b­u­tion grid for sin­gle-phase grid oper­a­tion; and back home to Europe where we are shar­ing vision­ary ideas on a large scale regard­ing the devel­op­ment of large quan­ti­ties of off­shore wind in the North and Baltic Seas. And on a small­er scale, but already in oper­a­tion, the lat­est 400 kV MSCDN for our cus­tomer Ampri­on at the Sechtem sub­sta­tion near Cologne.

You can also find out more about intel­li­gent con­di­tion assess­ment with­out major down­times in steel­works to be able to use exist­ing equip­ment safe­ly for as long as pos­si­ble, or how the Rein­hausen Group is set­ting a good exam­ple and using inno­va­tions to increase the effi­cien­cy of large elec­trol­y­sis plants.
