In a short space of time, COVID-19 has taught us just how frag­ile our habit­u­al way of life is. It quick­ly became clear that in addi­tion to a func­tion­ing health­care sys­tem and food sup­plies, a reli­able ener­gy sup­ply is essen­tial in order to keep our high-tech civ­i­liza­tion going. The oper­a­tors of crit­i­cal infra­struc­tures have shown that they too are able to rise to such chal­lenges with pro­fes­sion­al­ism.
